The Dhaka Times Desk NASA has sent small farms into space. Astronauts will cultivate different types of vegetables including lettuce for themselves. This small farm will be placed in orbit.
Those who go to space for various research work are called astronauts. They go for a long time once they go. They are given packaged food to eat. Keeping in mind their demand for fresh vegetables, NASA started this kind of project.
They name this project Veggies. It is basically an experiment on how vegetables will be grown in orbit. For this purpose a chamber was set up in the Space Life Science Laboratory at the Kennedy Space Center. It improves lettuce and carrot production. They said that if everything goes well, other vegetables will also be cultivated in the future.
Since space is filled with various spacecraft and the International Space Station, it is designed to be stuck with other vehicles. It is the largest tree chamber ever.
The chamber is designed in such a way that all the growth factors of the plant are provided at the specified time. Apart from this, the system of releasing all the extra material has also been kept. Moreover, the matter of proper temperature control has been incorporated very subtly.
