The Dhaka Times Desk Shahidul Islam, the father-in-law of deceased Nazrul Islam, spoke on Shamim Osman's behalf after the news that Shamim Osman had helped Noor Hossain, the main accused in the Narayanganj seven murder case, escape to India.
After the news about Shamim Osman was published in various media, Shahidul Islam said on his behalf, 'He is being framed in a novel way.' He asked, 'Why is he being involved here all of a sudden?' Shahidul Islam aka Shaheed Chairman, the father-in-law of deceased panel mayor Nazrul, gave this statement in response to the questions of journalists at Narayanganj Club on Saturday afternoon.
Criticizing the role of the administration, Shahidul Islam said, "Shamim Osman cannot help Noor Hossain to escape." Like Shamim Osman, he also asked the same question, 'When the administration knew that Nur Hossain was in Gulshan, why didn't they arrest him?'
It is to be noted that when the audio record of Noor Hossain's conversation with Narayanganj-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Shamim Osman was released, the issue became the focus of widespread discussion across the country. Responding to this incident, MP Shamim Osman held a press conference on Friday. In the press conference, Shamim Osman said that he had told Noor Hossain to surrender.
