The Dhaka Times Desk 7 bunkers and ammunition wells in Satchari Hills are believed to be Indian separatists. It is known that the recovered weapons are similar to 10 trucks of weapons in Chittagong.
The arms and ammunition recovered from wells and bunkers inside the Satchari National Park of Chunarughat Upazila of Habiganj District are made in China. Members of RAB's intelligence team believe that they are likely to be members of Indian separatist group 'All Tripura Tiger Force', also known as ATTF or 'National Liberation Front of Tripura' (NLFT).
It is known that in 2003, a truck with ammunition was caught in Kahalu, Bogra. At that time, the law and order forces conducted extensive raids in Chunarughat of Habiganj and Srimangal of Moulvibazar. The groups failed to remove the other weapons and ammunition they had in their collection in the face of the immediate operation. Perhaps some group of them built wells and bunkers in the mountains to preserve them. Those weapons were recovered after 10 or 12 years. However, during this operation, the RAB detectives came to know that the separatists sold a large amount of ammunition to the terrorist groups of Chittagong Hill Tracts at a very cheap price. The officers of RAB's intelligence wing found that these recovered arms and ammunition are similar to the 10 truckloads of arms and ammunition recovered in 2003 in Kahalu, Bogra. Indian separatists are not believed to have been active in the area in recent times. Again, it is considered that there is less opportunity to make bunkers by making tunnels due to RAB-Police activities.
3 bunkers and 4 wells were found in RAB operation. Among them are 3 wells and a concrete bunker on a hill. 1 well on another hill and 2 concrete bunkers under 2 houses found in adjacent 'Tipra' slum. All the recovered arms and ammunition were found from those 2 wells. Nothing was found from the bunker there.
Ammunition recovered on Wednesday included:
1 rocket launcher
38 rockets of 40 mm high capacity
95 rocket chargers,
4 machine guns
5 machine gun barrels
Two and a half thousand bullets of small and big weapons
2 bullet belts
46 quarts of lanced oil for cleaning firearms

It should be noted that RAB Additional Director General Colonel Ziaul Ahsan told the media that RAB members started searching on the top of the hill in Satchari based on intelligence information. However, the RAB has to face a lot of dilemma about where and how the operation will be conducted in this huge mountain. In such a situation, this rescue operation was started by bringing three dogs of specially trained 'Dog Squad'. Only trained dogs are able to locate wells and bunkers.
