The King's Little Pathway: The World's Most Exciting and Dangerous Pathway [VIDEO]

The Dhaka Times Desk The King's Little Pathway is one of the most thrilling and dangerous roads in the world. The rutted road skirting the mountain 100 meters above the ground has become a favorite spot for adventurers.

The road was built with the aim of connecting the two mountain springs of Chorro and Gaitanejo to build a hydroelectric plant in a village in the south of Spain and to transport goods. Its work started in 1901 and ended in 1905. King Alfonso XIII of Spain walked the street in 1921. It is not very big either. Hence its name 'The King's Little Pathway'.

The road is only three kilometers long and one meter wide. The road goes along the hill with the river 100 meters below. It was made of concrete and steel sheets. Currently, its condition is stable. Concrete has collapsed in many places. Some steel sheets remain.

A tragic accident occurred on this road in 1999-2000. Two people lost their lives. Besides, some accidents happened recently. In view of this, in June 2011, the authorities of that country accepted the plan to repair the place and make it a museum and parking lot. But most will be kept as before. The 9 million euro project will take 3 years to complete. But the most dangerous road may not be as before.

'The King's Little Pathway' has all the elements of adventure that adventurers seek. However, if there is a small mistake, a terrible accident will happen. A tarred road is a sign of an impassable path.
