When is disinherited, when no relatives are found. And just then the body was given to institutions like Anjuman Mofidul Islam for cremation as disinherited. This is often seen in our country especially in the case of missing bodies. Because after the disappearance, the body is lost and killed. And because of the extra time that has passed, the body is often unrecognizable. Even if they were identified, none of the close relatives came to identify the bodies, which is why they were given to Anjuman Mofidul Islam for burial as disinherited bodies. But in the fire that happened in Ashulia two days ago, the relatives are searching for the dead body. Many even said, 'At least give us the body', but the living people were burnt to ashes beyond recognition. What a heartbreaking story. May such a difficult time never come again in human life.
A fire can happen is an accident everyone will admit. But after the fire broke out below, everyone could have gone to 5 or 6 floors or the roof to survive. But no one could go there because it was locked. No one could save themselves even after seeing the flames of fire in front of their eyes. Imagine how strange the scene is.
Why are the owners not being careful?
Such incidents happen almost every year. But why are garment owners not being careful? Such a question is now in everyone's mind. After the fire at Ashulia's garment factory, many such questions have arisen. A leader of the Garment Industry Owners Association announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for each deceased person. We all know every factory is insured. And this insurance only sees the interests of the owner? That is, only burnt clothes, furniture and machine damages are covered? Hundreds of lives were lost in the fire, is it not worth it? If yes then give exact details of what has been done in the system. Or the owner after receiving the compensation hides it and gives the same amount to the affected workers? Talk about their own compensation. Many such questions have arisen. If a life is lost, that life can never be regained. But we do not tell or keep the news about how the families of the workers who die while working. One after another incidents are happening and still the question why the owners are not being careful or why they are not taking any measures to extinguish or prevent the fire has emerged today. In this regard, a professor of Dhaka University said that the owners always get compensation from the insurance company. Due to which they do not have to face such a loss. If the owners had thought a little about the interests of the workers, they would have made arrangements for fire selection or prevention. It has also been seen that after the fire, the workers are running in different directions while the main gate to exit the building is locked. The authorities do not open the lock in case of fire, at least the lives can be saved. This year's Ashuliar Garments incident is also similar. Because the fire broke out in the lower lock. Most of the workers died on the 3rd floor. But there was no fire on the 5th and 6th floors. But the floors there were locked. If the lock was open, the workers could have easily escaped by going to the 6th floor or the roof.
We don't want any workers to lose their lives like this. Accidents like fire can happen at any time as we hunt and there are many ways to escape from this fire. If we follow them, no one will have to die in such an untimely and horrible condition. Hopefully this time at least the owners will be aware and take necessary measures to protect the workers. And so that no one has to face such a tragic death.
National mourning declared on 27 November
The government has declared national mourning tomorrow, November 27, over the death of 124 people in the Nishchintpur fire in Ashulia and the death in the flyover collapse in Chittagong. On this day, the national flag will be kept at half-mast in all the government and semi-government offices of the country. There will be a holiday in all the garment factories of the country. This decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday. After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan gave details to reporters.
The secretary said that the condolence proposal has been accepted in the Cabinet for the incidents in Ashulia and Chittagong and prayers have been offered to the souls of the victims. In addition to keeping the national flag at half-mast to observe the National Day of Mourning, special prayers and prayers will be arranged in all religious sub-sanalas across the country on Tuesday. All factories in the country will have a Tuesday holiday, but other offices and courts will remain open.
At least 124 people were killed in a fire at Tazrin Fashions, a clothing factory manufactured by Tuba Group in Ashulia's Nishchintpur on Saturday. On the same day, three concrete girders collapsed from the flyover under construction at Bahaddarhat in Chittagong. The rescue workers recovered the bodies of 13 people till Monday in this incident. The Prime Minister announced on Sunday that the national mourning will be observed in this casualty.
