Israfil Alam MP, president of the parliamentary standing committee related to the Ministry of Labour, said that the families of each of those killed in the fire have been compensated by six lakh taka. The Prime Minister handed over a compensation check to the families of the victims. However, the bodies of 53 people who are yet to be identified, will be handed over the compensation checks once their identities are identified.
