The Dhaka Times Desk Shopping starts when Eid comes. Again, with this purchase, Maan Abhiman's turn started. But this time the level of arrogance has become a little heavy. A wife divorced her husband for not buying 'bird' thrips! The incident took place in Paikgacha Gadaipur village of Khulna.

Sharmin Akhter, a housewife from Paikgacha Gadaipur village in Khulna, is serious about not buying her husband a 'Pakhi' three-piece on Eid. But she divorced her husband Md Saidul Islam for not buying that three piece.
It is known that on the occasion of Eid, Saidul's father Tokim Mia bought two sarees for his two daughters-in-law for 1400 taka. When the younger son Saidul's wife Sharmin was asked to see the saree, she insists on buying the 'Pakhi' three-piece for her husband saying that she would not take the saree.
In this situation, Saidul said to his wife, "Take the saree given by father and I will buy you 'Pakhi' three-piece." But Sharmin insisted on buying the 'Pakhi' three-piece. A quarrel started between the two. At one stage of the quarrel, Sharmin called her father and brother on the phone and last Friday afternoon, Sharmin divorced her husband Saidul and went to her father's house. While leaving, Sharmin told Saidul that 'I will get married before Eid and walk around in front of your house wearing a 'bird' three-piece with my new husband.' Meanwhile, 'Pakhi' has created a sensation in the area by divorcing her husband for not buying the three-piece. Saidul married Sharmin Akhter, daughter of Mir Sahidul Islam of Kanaidia village of Tala upazila, only one and a half years ago.
Note that Pakhi is the main character of Indian Star Jalsa Channel's 'Bojhe Naa Se Bojhe Naa' serial. The type of three piece that Pakhi wears in that play is called 'Pakhi' three piece in Bangladesh. This 'bird' dress is very popular in the Eid market.
