In recent times, the number of infected with the deadly Ebola virus has been increasing in West African countries. So far, 2,100 people have lost their lives to the Ebola virus. The death rate of those who are affected by this infection is more than 50 percent. The World Health Organization says that Ebola patients who have survived should be treated with blood from their bodies. It is thought that the blood of a survivor of Ebola virus disease can act as an immunosuppressant.
Dr. World Health Organization experts in a press conference. Mary Paul Keaney said, 'Blood from Ebola survivors can be used to treat those infected.' He said, 'In that case, the countries should take all measures to cooperate in the implementation of this plan.' At a conference in Geneva last week, the United Nations Health Organization invited more than 200 experts to discuss experimental treatments and vaccines.
