The Dhaka Times Desk With the advancement of technology all around, a 17-year-old boy made a pistol that would not fire without the owner's fingerprint. It is also fairly impossible to hack.
Just 17-year-old Kai Kloepfer recently participated in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, where he presented his invention of the fingerprint pistol. The main mantra behind his invention was the death of countless people in America due to the improper use of personal pistols. He told the media, more people die from the misuse of guns than the number of soldiers in our country who die fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan. So the system to prevent one's gun from being used by someone else is what worked behind my invention of this fingerprint pistol technology.”
The technology invented by Kai Kloepfer provides a lock that researchers say is 99.9 percent safe and secure. This lock system is so strong that anyone can't hack it. The pistol automatically saves user data so no one but the owner can change any settings.
Kai Kloepfer came 34th with his invention out of a total of 7 million competitors from around the world. He has been given 50,000 dollars by the Smart Tech Challenges Foundation just as a budget to further develop this sophisticated sensor.
It should be noted that every 30 minutes in America, an ordinary person is killed due to the misuse or unnecessary use of a pistol. Kai Kloepfer's discovery is expected to have a ripple effect on gun control around the world.
