Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh- The Chittagong Detective Police have finally arrested the person who threatened to blow up the Chittagong court building with a bomb posing as a member of the JMB. The alleged militant was arrested late Sunday night. His name is Nasir Mohammad (40), he is the son of Dost Mohammad of Badurtala in the city. The arrested person has been handed over to Kotyali police station.

The DB Police told the media that during the preliminary interrogation, the arrested Nasir admitted that he had called the lawyer and said, 'I will blow up the court building with a bomb.' He claimed to the police, 'He only did this because of the postponement of the judgment date of a case related to land filed by him. However, he claimed that there is no involvement with militant activities.

This person named Ilyas was arrested with 58 lakh taka

It is to be noted that on the morning of October 14, Manas Das, a lawyer of the Chittagong court, called his mobile phone and identified himself as a member of the JMB and threatened to blow up the court building with bombs. After the matter came to light, security was strengthened in the entire court building area. Every person entering the court premises is also searched. During the search, the police recovered Tk 58 lakh from a young man named Elias at noon that day. Then Ilyas told the police that he was taking the land sale money to the surveyor Murad. The threat to blow up the court building and the recovery of Tk 58 lakh on the same day started a commotion in the court premises. Later, the detective police started an investigation.
