The Dhaka Times Desk Narayanganj 7 murder incident RAB has given a report to the High Court. In that RAB report, it is mentioned that three former officers of RAB are directly involved.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has submitted the final report to the High Court regarding the much-discussed Narayanganj 7 murders. The investigation committee of the RAB headquarters formed on the orders of the High Court submitted the final report to the High Court today on Wednesday. It is said that three officers of RAB are directly involved in 7 murders as mentioned in the investigation report.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam submitted this report to the High Court bench of Justice Mohammad Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobind Chandra Tagore. Earlier, RAB Additional Director General (Administration) DIG Aftab Uddin submitted the report to the Attorney General's office.
RAB said in their report, from the first to the end of the 7 murders (from the kidnapping to the drowning of the body in the river) the former captain of RAB-11 Lt. Colonel (retd) Tariq Saeed Muhammad and Company Commander Major (retd) Arif Hussain CPSC were initially found to be involved. But Lt. Commander (retd) MM Rana appears to have been partially involved in the abduction, the report said.
In addition, the report mentions that Councilor Nur Hossain planned to kidnap and kill Councilor Nazrul Islam due to power rivalry. However, the report said that no involvement of the RAB headquarters was found with the incident.
It should be noted that on April 27 of this year Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor Nazrul Islam, lawyer Chandan Sarkar and 7 people were kidnapped. Then their bodies were found in Shitalakshya river on April 30 and May 1.
