This small gold mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Bangladesh. This historic structure was built in Ferozepur village on the outskirts of Gaur city, the capital of ancient Bengal. It is located in Shibganj police station of Chapainawabganj district of Rajshahi division.
During the reign of Sultan Ala-uddin Shah (1493-1519 AD) this mosque was built by a man named Wali Mohammad. This information is known from an inscription found on the middle door of the mosque. But the date portion of the inscription is broken so the date of construction is not known. This mosque is one of the examples of Muslim architecture. It is built in Hussain-Shah style of architecture.
