We are sometimes surprised to see these islands. Baltra Island is an island that is mysteriously created by nature. Which will lead us to another mystery. Today we will know some information about this island. This island is a special island in the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador.

What kind of island is this?

Baltra Island is basically an uninhabited island. The Malapogos archipelago consists of 13 islands near Ecuador in South America. And one of these 13 islands is Baltra Island.

It is exceptional because Baltra Island is completely different from the other 12 islands here. It is a strange and mysterious island. According to history, during the Second World War, for strategic reasons, the US government established air bases on some of these islands. Since then the world has come to know about this strange mystery of Baltra Island.

The island being a tropical archipelago receives a lot of rainfall. The surprising thing is that not even a drop of rain falls on Baltra Island! For some mysterious reason, rainwater falls on the other side of Baltra. After halfway through Baltra the raindrops strangely do not move an inch.

Except for Baltra, every island is home to seals, iguanas, giant tortoises, chameleons and other rare species of birds.
But Baltra is completely different. Baltra Island has no plants, animals or insects.

There are many sayings about the island of Baltra. There is also a channel 3 feet deep and a few feet wide between the adjacent island of Santacruz. It is known that the American government established an air base on an island near the Galapagos Islands during the Second World War. Francis Wanner was an officer in charge at that time. During his stay in these islands he encounters strange events and experiences. Which later when published in various newspapers and magazines, there was a surprise and a storm.

Francis Wanner wrote, 'I encountered one of the greatest surprises of my life when I went to Baltra Island. Not one, not two, one after the other, countless incredible events happened in front of my eyes. Shocked with wonder, I just stared at these, I still can't find any reasonable answer or explanation. An entirely different kind of force is at work within the island. Under the influence of which happened one after another mysterious and incredible events. A sailor's or explorer's compass begins to behave abnormally upon arrival at Baltra. The compass, always pointing north, is often stationary here. Sometimes the directional fork rotates as desired or points in the opposite direction. The most mysterious thing is that the compass behaves so strangely even when the plane is over the island of Baltra. Once you cross the island again, everything will be fine.'

Francis Wanner also writes, 'Another strange aspect of Baltra is its mental aspect. As soon as one steps into Baltra, one's head lightens up. An amazing feeling of getting lost in an unknown place overwhelms the mind. If you stay on this island for a long time, that wonderful feeling remains in your mind for some time after leaving the island. Of course, everything is fine later. There are no trees on the strange island of Baltra. There are no animals. Surprisingly, no animals want to come to this island. No animal or bird could be settled till date. It has also been observed that the animals are avoiding Baltra and approaching the neighboring island of Santa Cruz. Not only that, the flying birds also fly and fly back to Baltra. It will look like they are hitting a wall.'

No acceptable explanation for the island's mystery has been found so far. Scientists have not been able to solve the mystery of Baltra Island even today. It is believed that one day scientists will find the solution to these mysteries due to technology.
