The Dhaka Times Desk 5 cubs of tigers have been recovered in Jhalkathi. The cubs were rescued today on Friday from an abandoned place on the new road of Dighirpar, bypass intersection of Rajapur upazila of the district.
After the rescue of 5 fox cubs in Jhalkathi, the locals said that the sound of the cubs could be heard while passing by the place in the afternoon. They packed the cubs and brought them to the locality.
After the cubs were rescued, the locals reported the matter to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and the police. However, no one from the administration or the forest department came to see the cubs till Friday afternoon.
Locals told the media that kids, ducks and chickens have been disappearing suddenly in the area for several months. The cubs have been rescued but no cubs have been found so far.
