According to online news sources, a team of engineering students from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has completed the design of such a car capable of traveling 1000 kilometers on just one liter of fuel.
The Eco-Dubai One light vehicle will be test driven within the next two weeks. It is currently under construction. The two meter long and half meter wide car named Eco Dubai-One weighs 25 kg. This eco-friendly car is the result of almost two years of hard work by students of Higher Colleges of Technology Dubai Men's College.
Ahmad Khamis Al Suwaidi, one of the students involved in the construction of this car, said, “Gasoline will not be available forever. One day it will be exhausted. In such a reality we are trying to develop an eco-car industry locally. And we are the future of the UAE in this sector.”
The car will be tested in the eco-marathon to be held in Kuala Lumpur from July 4 to 7. This eco-marathon is organized on the basis of how far a car can travel on one liter of fuel.
