The Dhaka Times Desk Saudi troops are fleeing Yemen in droves. About 4,000 Saudi troops have fled from border bases in fear of being ordered to launch a ground attack on Yemen.
According to media reports, about 4,000 Saudi soldiers have fled from the border bases, fearing that the Saudi government may order a ground attack on Yemen. The research organization 'Global Research' has given this information citing European diplomatic sources.
Iraq's Nahrain Net News reported that its diplomats, citing Western intelligence sources, also said that Saudi troops had fled in droves from military bases and army centers along the Yemeni border. According to another report, more than 10,000 Saudi soldiers have fled the country's various military units and National Guard forces.
Military experts say the Saudi armed forces do not have the morale and moral courage to launch a ground campaign in Yemen. For this reason, such an operation would be suicidal for Saudi Arabia.
It should be noted that, according to the analysis of European intelligence agencies, the Saudi government does not have any real forces to deal with Yemen's armed forces, Houthi fighters and tribal forces at the moment. The American daily New York Times wrote that the Saudis have not achieved anything significant by airstrikes in Yemen.
