In the case filed against national cricket team cricketer Rubel Hossain, the tribunal dismissed the complaint of actress Nazneen Akhter Happy against the final report filed by the police and acquitted Rubel. After the hearing on Wednesday afternoon, Judge Tanzina Ismail of Dhaka No. 5 Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal gave this order to release the cricketer Rubel.
On May 17, Happy filed this complaint in the tribunal against the final report submitted by the police in the case filed against Rubel Hossain. Cricketer Rubel and actress Happy were present in the court during today's hearing.
In this regard, Happy's lawyer Tuhin Howladar said that Happy filed this complaint because the investigation of the case was not done properly. The investigating officer of the case mentioned in the final report that the plaintiff in the case could not produce the evidence. But despite the provisions of the law, he basically did not give any notice to the plaintiff to produce witnesses. A list of 8 witnesses was also given in the protest petition.
The investigating officer of the case, Police Inspector (Victim Support Center) Inspector Halima Khatun of the Women's Support and Investigation Division submitted the final report to the CMM court in Dhaka on April 6.
It should be noted that actress Happy filed this case against Rubel in Mirpur police station on December 13 last year. Happy accused of having sexual relations with the lure of marriage.
