The Dhaka Times Desk Instead of looking only at foreign technology, domestic technology can now be relied upon. One such indigenous technology has been successful. This voice and messaging app is 'Ogo'.
And maybe we don't have to depend on each other especially when it comes to talking and sending messages. In other words, Viber's alternative app is 'Ogo'. This app for talking and sending messages is developed in the country - Ogo. The manufacturer claims that 'Ogo' is going to be Viber's alternative.
'Ogo' is developed by domestic company Inter Cloud. The company claims that 'Ogo' is the first voice calling and messaging app developed in the country. There is another app like this but it only allows talking.
On April 14, Inter Cloud left Google Play and I-Store as 'Ogo'. Anyone can install the free app on their mobile and talk for free. You can send as many messages as you want.
According to media reports, Bengali keyboard will be added in the next version of Ogo. However, Bengali keyboard is now available in the Apple version. It will also be added to Android in the future. The facility to share photos will also be added. Video calling, file sharing and voice recording will be added to it. Then 'push to talk' and sticker sending system will be launched. Students of the country will make these stickers. If the sticker manufacturing process is successful, the company plans to go into commercial production.
