A mass grave was found for the first time in the same area on 25 May. Excavation of 91 mass graves in the second phase of the Mata Ayer Forest Reserve in Lubke Sirah, Perlis, has started on Thursday. The operation will be completed by Wednesday, the police said.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khalid Bakar Malay told the media that forensic and security teams of the police force entered the area in eight vehicles. They are conducting this operation.
It should be noted that mass graves were found in Padang Besar in the southern province of Thailand in early May. Among the dead bodies recovered from these mass graves were the dead bodies of Bangladeshis.
