Due to various complications, the first film 'Rana Plaza' starring the most talked about actress Parimony was stuck in the censor board for a long time. Censor Board objected to various scenes of the movie, including the Rana Plaza collapse scene. Because of that, the issue of getting the censor clearance of the movie was finally made up to the court.
Bangladesh Film Censor Board cleared this film after overcoming all complications. The film got censor clearance on June 11.
Parimoni played the role of garment worker 'Reshma' in the much talked about movie 'Rana Plaza'. Simon Sadiq is acting opposite Parimoni.
After completing the filming and submitting it to the Censor Board, the members of the Censor Board alleged that the story and several scenes of 'Rana Plaza' could disturb the garment industry. They objected and said that the scene of garment collapse shown in the movie is a horrible scene. If a movie containing such scenes is released in theaters, the consequences may be even worse. Garment workers are the big audience of Bengali movies. The Rana Plaza collapse may have made them more agitated. Which can cause the situation to become unstable. Such complaints were made about AM Multi Media's first production.
Note that in 2013, a multi-storey building called 'Rana Plaza' collapsed in Savar. 17 days after this incident, a garment worker named Reshma was rescued alive from the rubble on May 10. Filmmaker Nazrul Islam Khan made the film 'Rana Plaza' based on this incident. In January 2014, the film started production on the story of the destruction of Savar's Rana Plaza with much fanfare. Actress Parimani made her debut in this film. However, Pariman's next few films were released due to non-clearance from the censors.
