Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, State Minister for Telecom Tarana Halim and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak were also present in today's meeting.

Quoting a source, the media is saying in a news, 'Bangladesh wants Facebook admin. That is why a separate server has been set up in Bangladesh. So that all types of post up can be supervised from Bangladesh.
However, the two Indian representatives of Facebook could not give an immediate answer. They will tell by speaking at a higher level.

According to media reports, the government has also expressed interest in entering into a compromise agreement with Facebook if necessary. But there is no concession on security issues. So there was no immediate decision to open Facebook. A meeting may be held in the Prime Minister's Office on the matter soon. There will also be a meeting with BTRC. It is mentioned in the news media that a specific decision can be made only then.

It should be noted that Facebook, a popular social media platform in Bangladesh, has been closed since November 11 due to security issues. About 11 thousand e-commerce traders of the country are affected due to the shutdown of the social media. Currently, the number of Facebook users in Bangladesh is 1.7 million.
