There is a conflict between the child's parents. The incident happened with a four-year-old child named Iftekhar Ahmed. The child is in police custody of a jail in Ganderbal, Srinagar, Indian-controlled Kashmir.
The police did not arrest the child but the father of the child, Gulzar Ahmed Tantrao, was arrested by the police. According to media reports, the child, Iftekhar Ahmed, refused to leave his father and wanted to remain in police custody. The child's father, Tantraya Ganderbal, grew up in the city. He moved to Kashmir in 1990.
He is accused of providing weapons training to rebels, which is against Indian law. Tantrao recently arrived in Indian-controlled Kashmir with her baby Iftekhar. Then the police arrested him. On the other hand, Iftekhar's mother Rohini Kayani has alleged from Pakistan-controlled Kashmir that her husband abducted her child and fled to India. All in all, the police are now in a lot of trouble with the child.
