They are trying to figure out how to keep the battery charged longer.
This time, a group of researchers in the United States has developed a battery that will last at least 400 times longer than a normal smartphone battery. It can be used in everything from tablets, computers to automobiles and even spaceships! Not only that, this battery will also help to increase the life of the device! Smartphones and other devices become unusable within a few years.
The battery was designed at the University of California. It is made of a manganese-dioxide shell coated with ultrafine gold (nanowires). It also contains special electrolytes.
Researchers observed in the laboratory that it remained active after being charged at least 200,000 times over three months. Its charge capacity has not decreased even a single point. But the common smartphone battery in the market is usually destroyed after charging 7 thousand times.
