The Dhaka Times Desk The moon of Ramadan has been sighted in the holy month. Fasting starts from tomorrow (Tuesday). This announcement was made by the National Moon Sighting Committee after confirmation of the sighting of the moon of the month of Ramadan in various places of the country including Feni today (Monday) evening.
This announcement was made after a meeting at the Islamic Foundation meeting room of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque today (Monday) evening to review the news of the sighting of the moon of the holy month of Ramadan 1437 Hijri and to decide the date of Eid-ul-Fitr. The meeting was presided over by the President of the National Moon Sighting Committee, the Minister of Religion, Principal Matiur Rahman.
With the announcement of the sighting of the moon of the holy month of Ramadan, the devout Muslims of the country will perform Taraweeh prayers and fast on the last night by eating sehri.
