The Dhaka Times Desk Today (Friday) Ramadan moon is not sighted, fasting is starting from next Sunday. The National Moon Sighting Committee has announced this.
Minister of Religion Matiur Rahman made this announcement after the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation's conference room at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this evening.
The last time of Seheri in Dhaka and its surrounding areas on the first fast is 3:41 PM on Saturday and Iftar on the first Ramadan (Sunday) is 6:43 PM. Also tomorrow (Saturday) night Tarawih prayer will start after Isha prayer.
Ramadan is a holy month of Islam. The Muslim community celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr after a month of fasting in this month.
