The Dhaka Times Desk US search engine giant Google has unveiled a new speaker with voice assistant service. The smart speaker and several other devices were unveiled at the Google event on October 4.
Google showed this smart speaker for the first time in May. The device was formally unveiled at an event on October 4.
This new Google Assistant speaker can control smartphones, smartwatches and other smart gadgets. This speaker can search information, control media player and book movie tickets through conversation with the user. This company is going to compete with Apple's Siri and Amazon's Echo through this speaker.
It is known that this device can be controlled without any kind of touch screen. If customers question it, the answer that Google will give as a result can basically be asked again from there. That is, it can hold a conversation with the customer. Other competing voice assistant services do not have this feature.
This voice assistant is built using Google's 'Knowledge Graph Database'. This database contains information on about 7 billion subjects. Google has been using it for 4 years.
To use this Google voice assistant smart speaker, the customer needs to say “OK Google”. Then Google will respond for customer service.
It is reported that the price of this Google smart speaker is 129 US dollars, which is 50 dollars less than Amazon's 'Echo'. Google will release the device in the market on November 4.
