They only read in the book that there is a season called monsoon. Never seen the rainy season! Egyptologist Meena (35) or Egypt Tourism Department worker Abdullah (40) have never seen rain in their life. Fifty-year-old Arafat heard that it was raining once as a child! But open the door and come to the balcony to see what! The sand absorbed everything. The roads are as rough as before. The situation is such that when a few drops of water are poured on a tatano (hot) pan, it is absorbed immediately, nothing of that water can be seen anymore, this was also the case.
Aswan, the southernmost city of Egypt, is the name of one such town. Where rain is a rare commodity. Entering the city you will not find a single person who has ever seen rain. In Meena's words, 'We have only 4 seasons here. Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.'
April to September - these 6 months are summer in the world. The temperature is around 50 degrees Celsius. When our country gets flooded due to heavy rainfall, it is a big crime to waste a single drop of water on the earth and its edges. The Nile River flows through the middle of the Egyptian city of Aswan. And that is the only source of water there. The average rainfall in Aswan is 0.1 mm according to official records.
Why is there no rain? Meteorologists say that clouds are the source of rain. If there are no clouds in the sky, it does not rain. Cloud formation has a specific process. As the temperature rises, the air gets warmer. Then the light warm air rises upwards. As the air layer rises, it comes into contact with colder air and begins to condense. Then the cloud is formed. The rain started when the cloud broke. However, hot air in desert areas dissipates before rising. Because of this they never come into contact with the cold air in the upper atmosphere. That is why clouds are not formed. And so it doesn't rain.
