There is now a direct bus from Dhaka to Kolkata via Khulna. Private Greenline Paribahan launched this service from Dhaka in collaboration with Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC).

This is the first bus service going to Kolkata via Dhaka Mawa. This way there is no hassle of changing buses. One can go to Benapole via Khulna, then Kolkata by the same bus. Passengers can also board the bus from Khulna. Although the distance by road through Mawa is a bit longer. However, after the launch of Padma Setu, that irony will no longer exist.

This bus is running directly between Dhaka-Khulna-Kolkata once a week in a joint venture between BRTC and Greenline Transport. This bus will depart from Kamalapur BATC bus terminal every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 am. After the bus reaches Khulna at 1.30 pm, the passengers are given 20-25 minutes for food and rest.

The bus will leave for Kolkata at 2:00 pm from Royal Junction of Khulna city. And will reach Benapole at 4 pm. It is scheduled to arrive at the Salt Lake Karunamayi International Bus Terminal in Kolkata around 8 pm after clearing immigration and customs on both sides.

Likewise, Kolkata's Salt Lake Karunamayi bus terminal will leave for Dhaka every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 am. The bus will reach Dhaka around 8 pm. It is known that this 40-seat bus will take 36 passengers from Dhaka and 4 passengers from Khulna.

In total, about 9 days of holiday have been received this Eid. That is why you can use this opportunity to go abroad during this period. If you go to Kolkata, you can go to Darjeeling, Taj Mahal in Agra, Kashmir or many other places from there. A visit to Kolkata after this Eid will no doubt make the right use of your Eid vacation.
