According to media reports, 7 countries, including the world's most influential countries, have requested UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to discuss the ongoing torture of Myanmar's army in the Security Council again.

According to media reports, France, United Kingdom, United States, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Senegal and Sweden have invited the UN Secretary General for this discussion.

Citing the Ethiopian Council of the Security Council, the international media reported that a possible date for the talks is being discussed.

The ongoing situation in Myanmar's Rakhine has been discussed in the Security Council in two rounds before. After the last discussion, this UN regulatory body also gave a statement on the basis of consensus. The resolution called for an end to the ongoing violence.

The first meeting of the Security Council on the Rakhine situation in Myanmar was held at the end of August. On August 29, the UK expressed its interest in discussing Myanmar's 'ethnic cleansing' and August 30 was set as the date for the talks. The closed-door meeting raised concerns about the Rakhine and Rohingya situation.

The members of the Security Council placed special emphasis on the cessation of violence between the two sides in Myanmar and the continuation of humanitarian assistance and the implementation of the report of the Rakhine Consultative Commission.

The second meeting of the Council on the Rakhine situation was held on September 14 this year. After 9 years, a statement was also made based on the consensus of all the members of the Security Council. The statement expressed grave concern over the ongoing violence. Condemning the incident, immediate cessation of violence has been called for.

United Kingdom Ambassador to the United Nations, Matthew Rycroft, said in a statement that the council expresses deep concern over the excessive use of force in Myanmar's Rakhine state, condemning it and calling for its immediate end. Matthew Rycroft, the United Kingdom's ambassador to the United Nations, also commented that the disaster has befallen the Rakhine State and the Rohingya.

On the other hand, Nikki Haley, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, said that the United States is concerned about the tragedy that Rohingya Muslims are suffering in Rakhine, Myanmar. The US is 'pressuring' Myanmar's leader Aung San Suu Kyi and the country's military officials to end military operations against the Rohingya.
