A shoe thief has been arrested by the local police in Melbourne, Australia. The thief stole about 2,400 pairs of boots in the last 6 years! The 44-year-old thief's name is Andrew Muster.
According to media reports, between 2012 and 2017, Andrew stole shoes worth about 7,000 Australian dollars. Most of the shoes are stolen from the front of people's houses in the dark of night. Until now, this serial shoe thief was a mystery to Melbourne residents. However, after being caught by the police, the matter became clear.
The police arrested the shoe thief Andrew on the basis of CCTV footage. When Andrew was arrested at his own home in Melbourne's northern suburbs, all the stolen shoes were found in his home. However, he did not reveal any specific motive behind such strange behavior of Andrew. After being arrested, he was fined 4,000 dollars. However, although no jail time was given, he was ordered to be of good behavior for 12 months. According to media reports, the judge gave this verdict considering the incident as a psychological problem rather than a crime.
