The Dhaka Times Desk Batman's 'tumbler' car is known to many. Batman's 'Tumblr' car is real!
Many people remember that cool car from the 'Batman: Dark Knight' series of films. Tumbler is a car that can jump over obstacles. Gotham City tycoon Bruce Wayne's car is not only 'science fiction' or science fiction, but also exists in reality.
While not an exact car like the Tumblr, there is a close version. Like many of the world's most important inventions, this car was planned for military research. A fictional form of him can be seen in the movie Batman. It is known that the plan to build this car began during the Second World War!
During the Second World War, the British Army planned to develop an 'Azgubi' vehicle. The thought of a car that will jump the barrier in front is nothing but nonsense! However, the British military researchers got down to work to implement this strange idea. They wanted to build a vehicle that could bypass enemy security fences. You can easily enter the enemy camp.
Researcher Hafner also designed such a car. The car is named 'Rotabagi' and this car is designed in the style of a jeep. A rotor blade and a special design at the back is kept in this car.
Since no power was transmitted to the rotors, the car essentially remained a gyrocopter rather than an airplane. It had only one driver's seat. The same driver would drive the car on the ground as well as keep it afloat in the sky. Basically the car was floating in the air by 'gliding'.
The latest version of this vehicle is capable of hovering in the air for about a minute. This time was 'enough' to cross the enemy barrier. But this strange car was not yet ready to go to the military arena.
At the height of the war, military officials were more interested in developing other types of military vehicles. So the British abandoned the plan to build Batman's car at that time.
According to a BBC report, the British started working on the car again in the 1960s. This time the design has also been changed. The design was finalized by adding 12 fans around the car. With the help of these fans, the car is planned to float in the void. As soon as the obstacle is crossed, the fan can be stopped and the car can be brought to the ground in that design. Just like Batman did.
Sadly, the car ended up on the drawing board due to lack of funds. No rich person or company like Bruce Wayne dared to invest money in making this strange car.
