In this regard, Jimmy Emilio, general manager of the Wenore Chuk Airport in Micronesia, said the plane was supposed to land on a runway at the airport. But instead the plane fell into the sea.
According to media reports, the accident happened around 9:30 am local time. There are 36 passengers and 11 crew in the plane
There were 47 people in total. Everyone was later rescued from the plane by small boat. The passengers were rescued and taken to hospital. However, no one was seriously injured, according to media reports.
Air New Guinea said in a statement that the accident occurred due to bad weather and heavy rain.
A passenger of that plane said that after the accident, water started entering through a hole in the plane. Before the rescue team arrived, the plane's cabin was filled with waist-deep water. However, it is possible to rescue all alive by conducting rapid rescue operations.
