With the funding of KR Malik Foundation, Mehrun Shishu Park and Mini Zoo have been built on 60 bigha land in Ibrahimpur village of Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga district. Located at a distance of about 15 km from Chuadanga city, this park has become one of the entertainment spots for the local people, due to which the number of visitors looking for entertainment in Meherun Shishu Park is increasing every day.
Mehrun is home to a children's park and a mini zoo with various interesting rides, horse carriages, aesthetic sculptures, resorts, restaurants and textile villages. Various species of animals including peacocks, monkeys, camels, deer, owls are kept in the mini zoo for the visitors.
The entrance fee of Meherun Shishu Park and Mini Zoo is Tk 50 per person. To ride different rides in the park, you have to pay 30 to 50 taka. A parking fee is also applicable for vehicles entering the park.
How to get to Chuadanga?
From any part of the country you have to come to Valaipur junction of Chuadanga-Meherpur highway and from there you have to take an auto rickshaw through Ramnagar village and go to Meherun Shishu Park located in Ibrahimpur village.
Dhaka to Chuadanga: The distance of Chuadanga from the capital Dhaka is 250 km. There is a possibility to go to Chuadanga district by bus and train from Dhaka. From Gabtali and Syedabad Bus Terminals to Chuadanga district by Manvede Bus will cost between 300 to 500 rupees per person. Among the notable bus services are Tourist Transport (01719-813004), Sky Line, Pabna Express (02-9008581) and Chuadanga Express.
From Kamalapur railway station, Chitra, Sundarban Express and Benapole Express trains cross Yamuna Bridge and travel towards Chuadanga. The price of the train ticket from Dhaka to Chuadanga is Tk 400 to Tk 800 per person depending on the class.
