The Dhaka Times Desk করোনা ভাইরাস নিয়ে গুজব ছড়ানোর অভিযোগ তুলে সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম ফেসবুকের অন্তত ৫০টি অ্যাকাউন্ট বন্ধ করতে বলেছে পুলিশ।
বিটিআরসিকে এই অনুরোধ জানানো হয়েছে বলে সহকারী মহাপরিদর্শক মো. সোহেল রানার বরাতে দিয়ে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন সংবাদ মাধ্যম বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকম।
এদিকে এই গুজব ছড়ানোর অভিযোগে ঢাকা, চট্টগ্রাম, চাঁদপুর, খাগড়াছড়ি ও কিশোরগঞ্জ হতে ইতিমধ্যেই ৫ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে বলেও জানিয়েছেন তিনি।
সোহেল রানা বলেন, পুলিশের সাইবার ক্রাইম ইউনিট এবং অন্য সংস্থা অভিযান চালিয়ে গুজব ছড়ানোর অভিযোগে ওই ৫ জনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে।
অভিযান এখনও অব্যাহত আছে জানিয়ে তিনি বলেন, ‘গুজব ছড়াতে মাধ্যম হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমের ৫০টি অ্যাকাউন্ট বন্ধ করার অনুরোধ জানিয়ে বিটিআরসিকে ইতিমধ্যেই চিঠি দেওয়া হয়েছে।’
আরও ৮২টি সোশাল মিডিয়া অ্যাকাউন্ট, পেজ এবং সাইটে গুজব ছড়ানোর পেছনে কারা রয়েছে, তাদেরও খুঁজে বের করতে অনুসন্ধান চলছে বলে তিনি জানিয়েছেন।
উল্লেখ্য, সরকারের রোগতত্ত্ব, রোগনিয়ন্ত্রণ ও গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠানের (আইইডিসিআর) দেওয়া সর্বশেষ তথ্যানুসারে এই পর্যন্ত দেশে ৫১ জন করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন। মারা গেছেন ৫ জন। আর সুস্থ হয়েছেন ২৫ জন।
গত ১৯ মার্চ হতে ৩০ মার্চ পর্যন্ত সারাদেশে করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হলে যেসব উপসর্গ দেখা যায় তেমনই উপসর্গ জ্বর, সর্দি, কাশি, শ্বাসকষ্টে অন্তত আরও ৩১ জন মারা গেছেন।
