Eminent composer and music director Alauddin Ali has been laid to rest at Mirpur Intellectual Cemetery. Before this, several prayers including FDC were held. Finally he was buried in Mirpur Shaheed Buddhijivi Cemetery.
Eight times National Film Award winning music director and composer Alauddin Ali was a shining star in the world of Bengali film music. In his long musical career, he composed music for more than four hundred films.
His departure is an irreparable loss to the country's music industry. This timeless composer's contribution to Bengali films will be remembered forever by the country and the nation, especially by film lovers and music gurus.
It is to be noted that composer Alauddin Ali (68) died yesterday (August 9, Sunday) around 5:30 pm while undergoing treatment at the Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali. He had long been suffering from pneumonia and blood infection as well as cancer. The President and Prime Minister condoled his death.
