According to that survey, 11 percent of women and 12 percent of men have type-2 diabetes in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. But they don't know anything about this. About 4 percent of people in Ho Chi Minh City are diagnosed with diabetes.
Scientists from Australia's Garvan Institute of Medical Research believe that diabetes is increasing at an alarming rate due to lifestyle changes and fast food consumption.
Currently, diabetes has started to appear widely in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Diabetic Hospital Bardem Professor Dr. Tofail Ahmed said that in 2000, predictions were made in Bangladesh about how many people will be affected by diabetes in 2025.
But the unfortunate fact is that in the year 2010, that number of people in Bangladesh have been affected by diabetes. Currently more than 6 percent of the total population in Bangladesh is suffering from diabetes. People with diabetes are about 4 times more likely to develop heart disease or heart attack than others.
Due to such a situation, experts say, it is time to leave the fast food culture. In particular, the role of families in determining the duty to ensure that children are not attracted to this fast food culture has become greater. Everyone should be aware of this.
