After a Japanese tourist made a special request to the Peruvian government, the gates of Machu Picchu were opened to him. The tourist named Takayama planned to go to Peru to spend a few days of leisure last March. He was stuck in Aguas Calientes, a city near that city, for about 7 months due to the Corona epidemic.
Takayama was later granted permission to travel to Machu Picchu last month after making a special request to the Peruvian government. He is also seen to be very excited about this. After the Japanese tourist, other tourists have also received permission to travel to Machu Picchu.
It should be noted that in 1983, Machu Picchu Fort was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is the last recognized ruins of the ancient Inca Empire. Archaeologists believe the fort was built in the 15th century during the reign of the Inca emperor Pachacuti. Tourists who come here are overwhelmed by the heritage of the Inca Empire.
