Even before the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, schools used to have separate classes for boys and girls. However, the university had co-educational facilities and no dress code was prescribed. Taliban says, girls can study post-graduate if they want. But if possible for that, universities will have separate campuses or at least separate classrooms.
In the meantime, in the classrooms of various educational institutions in Afghanistan, the pictures of classes being taken between boys and girls by drawing the curtains have spread on social media.
In the press conference, Haqqani also announced the appointment of female teachers for girls. If this is not possible then male teachers will be allowed to teach female students in compliance with Sharia law.
The Taliban raised their flag at the presidential palace on Saturday. This means that they have officially started running the government. There is no woman minister in their government.
