The Dhaka Times Desk Neeraj Bishnu, the creator of the 'Bulli Buy' app, which advertised pictures of Muslim women being 'sold' to them, attempted suicide, Delhi Police said.
DCP KPS Malhotra of Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) Special Cell of Delhi Police informed this information.
Earlier, Indian police arrested Neeraj from Assam, India. However, after the arrest, the producer pleaded guilty to the police. He is currently in police custody. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Neeraj threatened to commit suicide and tried to harm himself twice.
It is known that Neeraj Bishnoi made the app called Bulli Bai. He was arrested by an IFSO team from Assam. He is the originator and creator of the Bulli Buy app on GitHub and is also the main account holder of the app. It is reported that Bishnoi is a second year student of engineering in an institution in Bhopal.
Note that this app called Bulli By is an open source app, which was operated through a web platform called GitHub. Later, GitHub authorities removed its content after a lawsuit was filed over the auctioning of Muslim women.
