The Dhaka Times Desk Senior journalist, political analyst, columnist and executive editor of Bangladesh Pratidin Pir Habibur Rahman is no more (Innalillahi Wainnailaihi Rajiun).
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Center (ICU) of the capital's LabAid Hospital at 4:08 PM on Saturday (February 5). He was 58 years old at the time of his death.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Bangladesh Daily Executive Editor Pir Habibur Rahman. The Prime Minister prayed for the soul of the deceased and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
Pir Habibur Rahman suffered a stroke while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital yesterday evening (February 4) and was transferred to the ICU of LabAid Hospital. He was suffering from kidney complications for a long time.
In October last year, journalist Pir Habibur Rahman became cancer free through bone marrow transplantation at Jasluk Hospital, Mumbai, India. On January 22, he was admitted to LabAid Hospital on the doctor's advice when he was infected with Corona.
He was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital with kidney complications while he was under treatment in the hospital. While undergoing treatment there, he suffered a stroke yesterday (Friday) evening and was transferred to the ICU of LabAid Hospital.
Pir Habibur Rahman was born on 12 November 1963 in Sunamganj city.
