The body will be exhumed in the presence of the investigation officer, an executive magistrate and RAB officials and family members of the deceased. Later the autopsy will be done again to preserve their viscera in the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. RAB sources said that their bodies will be buried again on April 27 at the same place.

According to RAB sources, a meeting was held at the RAB headquarters on April 25 in the afternoon regarding the exhumation of Sagar-Rooney's body from the grave on the orders of the court. According to the decision of that meeting, in the presence of Magistrate Shaheduzzaman, under the leadership of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Zafar Ullah of RAB Investigation and Forensic Wing, the two bodies will be removed from the Azimpur cemetery at 10 am on April 26. He will be taken to the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College for an autopsy again at noon. This time the viscera sample will be preserved through the viscera examination of the dead body. Moreover, they think that some new information can be found in the autopsy.
Commander M Sohail, director of RAB's law and media wing, said that it is important to preserve the viscera to ensure that the miscreants had consumed some intoxicants with their food before killing Sagar-Runi. On the other hand, when asked why the doctor was not asked to preserve the viscera of the victims after the murder, SI Ajimuzzaman, the first investigating officer of the case, said that since two people were killed by knife wounds, the cause of death was clear.
