The Dhaka Times Desk How many design houses can be seen around us! Students of Green Mountain College in the United States built a 70 square feet bean-shaped mobile home. How is the house, let's find out.
The house was planned and built by 16 students. They named it OTIS (Optimal Traveling Independent Space). Its shape is like a bean.
A four-cylinder car is added to pull it. It has its own rain water harvesting system. A 120 watt solar panel ensures power supply. It has a composting toilet inside to complete the natural process.
People, especially students, are increasingly interested in the nomadic lifestyle. They are not interested in being confined to any particular place. They want, own living space to be very low maintenance cost and moveable. Although many feel that such a house concept will encourage various anti-social activities.
Time will tell what the new world will look like. It is hoped that this type of house will be in vogue sometime. That wouldn't be too bad.
