The Dhaka Times Desk A young man from Tangail has been arrested for posting alleged video messages of al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri on the Internet.
According to the media, the police and RAB began a massive investigation after the alleged video message of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the head of the international terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, was published on the Internet. RAB arrested a young man named Russell bin Sattar (21) from Majhipara of Tangail for his involvement in it at one stage. Media sources have confirmed that he was arrested around 5:30 am on Tuesday morning. Source: Bangladesh News24.
RAB said that three mobile phones, two laptops, a large number of Jihadi books and materials were recovered from the arrested youth.
Russell is behind the release of Zawahiri's alleged video messages on the Internet. RAB has claimed that Russell is an administrator of several extremist pages including the Facebook page of the Islami Chhatra Shibir, Bansher Kella.
It should be noted that the video message titled 'Bangladesh: Massacre Behind a Wall of Silence' circulated on the Internet recently became the center of discussion in the country and abroad. Law enforcement agencies use all their efforts to find the source of the video.
