The Dhaka Times Desk The police have arrested 2 more associates of Noor Hossain, the main accused in the much-discussed seven murder case of Narayanganj. On the other hand yesterday Nur Hossain's alleged 'girlfriend' Councilor Jannatul Ferdous Nila was arrested and released after interrogation.
It is known that around 12 o'clock on Sunday night, locals arrested two people named Shipon alias Shooter Shipon and Atiq from Ati area of Siddhirganj and handed them over to the police. It is known that those arrested were close associates of Noor Hossain and used to take care of his drug business.
So far, at least 25 people including Noor Hossain's aide, cook and driver have been arrested. But the main accused of 7 murders Nur Hossain and 6 accused in this case are still out of reach.
Meanwhile, Jannatul Ferdous Nila, the councilor of Narayanganj City Corporation, who is the main accused in the case of seven murders discussed in Narayanganj on Sunday, Noor Hossain, was released again almost 3 hours after his arrest. He was detained for questioning, police said. After the interrogation, he was released around 9 pm. However, it was not reported whether any important information was received from him.
Jannatul Ferdous Neela Narayanganj circuit house on the way back from participating in the public hearing around 6 pm police arrested him in front of Hajiganj fire service station.
Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor Jannatul Ferdous is known to be very close to Nila Noor Hossain. After the incident of 7 murders in Narayanganj, he became the center of discussion. He told the media - Noor Hossain wanted to protect her only without marrying her. Noor Hossain also wanted to give him a car worth Tk 35 lakh as a gift but he did not accept it. She also said that she was forced to divorce her husband because of Noor. Neela told the media that she did this to save her husband's life.
