The picture you are looking at is the historic Khan Mohammad Mridha Mosque. It is located at Lalbagh in the capital Dhaka. Old Dhaka's Lalbagh has several historical buildings. Khan Mohammad Mridha Mosque is one of them.
Located at Lalbagh in old Dhaka, this mosque was built in 1704/5 on the orders of the Chief Qazi of Dhaka, Qazi Khan Mohammad Ebadullah. This beautiful mosque stands in Atishkhana in old Dhaka, west of Lalbagh Fort. The three-domed mosque rests on a platform about 17 feet high. Beneath the platform are long corridors flanked by small chambers. The play of light and air here is fascinating. Except for mosques and madrasahs, the rest is open. It is believed that students were taught here. And the lower rooms were used as living quarters.
