The Dhaka Times Desk Recently hacking or robbing ATM booths has increased a lot, not in our country but in many countries of India and Asia, hackers are hacking ATM machines and removing crores of rupees in various modern ways. This time in Malaysia, money was withdrawn from 17 ATM machines in a special process.
Malaysian police believe that the money withdrawn from recently hacked ATM machines is the work of none other than a Latin American gang. This gang consists of several software hackers. They hack these Malaysian machines with modern methods and easily withdraw money from them.
Meanwhile, the security experts of ATM machines have done various studies and told how these machines have been hacked and money has been withdrawn from these machines. It is believed that the hackers restarted the ATM machines in a special process and while restarting, inserted the virus (presumed to be “ulssm.exe”) into the pen drive. In this, the entire machine comes under the control of hackers. Later they attach a keyboard to it and enter the desired amount of money and withdraw the money.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian administration has said that they have got an idea about those hackers and they have found the footage of the hackers in the CCTV cameras. Again, critics say these hackers are very clever and the Malaysian administration has now found only their fakes.
