Abdul Latif Siddiqui, who lost his ministerial and party posts for making false statements about religion, has finally surrendered. He went to Dhanmondi police station in the capital and surrendered. Assistant Police Commissioner of Ramna Zone Shibli Noman confirmed this news to the media.
After surrendering, he was produced in court. The court has ordered Abdul Latif Siddiqui to be sent to jail in a case of religious incitement.
22 arrest warrants have been issued against him in cases filed in different parts of the country for hurting religious sentiments. He returned home on an Air India flight from India on Sunday night.
