According to news media, the incident happened in Feni city. The mother and her child were locked up in a large house in the crowded area of Rampur Shaheen Academy Road there for 5 years. Later the police freed them from captivity.
When a pictorial news was published in the local daily Feni Saham on Tuesday about the detention, it created a stir all over the district. Superintendent of Police Md. Rezaul Haque came to notice. The campaign started at noon on his orders. Under the leadership of Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar, Feni Model Police Station OC Md. Mahbub Morshed conducted a large number of police raids. At one stage fearing the unpleasant situation, District Administration Executive Magistrate Shariful Alam Tanveer, Feni Sadar Hospital Resident Medical Officer Dr. Asim Kumar Saha led medical team, Station Officer Md. Jahangir Alam led fire brigade team also reached the spot. Around that mysterious house, a large number of journalists, public representatives, businessmen, dignitaries of the area and even ordinary people who rushed from far and wide gathered.
At 3:40 PM, the breath-taking expedition began. Fire service team AKA broke 3 doors and entered and rescued mother Zahara Begum Rozi (45) and child Mehdi Islam Jimun (11) from there. After rescue both of them were taken to Feni Modern Sadar Hospital. Superintendent of Police Md. Rezaul Haque PPM went to see them at the hospital.
According to the hospital sources, both of them have fallen ill due to being locked in the house for a long time. If they are kept under close observation, they will be normal at the earliest. According to media sources, they are being treated in a hospital cabin under police guard.

Currently, he is said to be working in Sylhet Sadar Upazila. Azad-Roji's family broke up shortly after the birth of the only son, Mehdi Islam Zeemun. In this, the mother and son spend some kind of half-starved-starved days. If there are no tenants, they sometimes go without food. Although there is a light inside the haunted room, the fan has been broken for a long time. Because there is not enough light and air in the room, strong smell comes out. Jimun digs and digs on his feet. A neighbor said that once the boy was very restless. But due to being imprisoned for a long time, he is gradually becoming physically disabled.
