Daily Mail reports that he voluntarily jumped into the lion's cage. Jose told a local journalist last year that he did not want to live much longer after losing his children, wife and mother. He is having a hard time.
According to the news, Jose appeared near the lion cage of the zoo in army uniform on Sunday afternoon. He climbed up the wall of the cage railing. Then he jumped into the lion's cage. After 30 minutes in the cage, the firemen chased away the lions with water and rescued him and admitted him to De La Val de Hebron Hospital in the city. Although his condition is dangerous, he is said to be out of danger.
