Felani murder case: Amiya Ghosh acquitted again in BSF court

Advocate Abraham Lincoln, the public prosecutor of Kurigram, who assisted the law in the Felani murder case, told the media that the retrial process has been going on continuously for the past three days. After 12:00 pm Bangladesh time, the 5-member judicial panel led by BSF officer CP Trivedi announced the verdict by upholding the previous verdict.

It is to be noted that on January 7, 2011, BSF member Amiya Ghosh brutally shot and killed Bangladeshi girl Felani Khatun while crossing the barbed wire fence at Anantpur border in Phulbari. In the face of international criticism, on August 13, 2013, the trial of Felani's murder began in the special court of BSF in Cooch Behar, India. On September 6, 2013, the accused BSF member Amiya Ghosh was acquitted by the special court of BSF. Later Bangladesh applied for retrial.
